Dear Friends, The Little Rock Foundation will be holding our 9th Annual Fall Festival on November 18, 2006. Our success relies upon people like yourselves to help our great cause. We recognize that there are many worthwhile organizations soliciting your support, and we truly appreciate your recognition of the Little Rock Foundation and the value of the services that we provide. The major portions of the funds we raised are a result of our silent and live auction. Won't you please help support our cause by donating merchandise or service for our auctions. All donations will be attractively displayed for our guest, and you will receive recognition for you donation in the ad book. Since our inception in 1997, we have made tremendous strides. The Little Rock Foundation Patient Resource Center Opened at the world famous Wills Eye Hospital of Philadelphia. the facility is an education center for families to learn of the latest medical advancements, and technology for the blind and visually impaired. In addition the center features state-of-the-art computers with Braille capability and voice synthesizers that allows the blind and visually impaired access to the internet. The Little Rock Foundation also helps support educational programs like the Kingsway Learning Center in Haddonfield for blind and visually impaired children. We have awarded $5,000.00 to four scholarship winners this year to local students within the Delaware Valley to further their education. In addition we established Camp Little Rock, a program endorsed by the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired. We hosted children from the ages of 7 to 12 who are blind or visually impaired to experience the full camp environment that they may not have had the opportunity before Camp Little Rock. Finally, as parents of both blind and visually impaired children, we know first hand that a major vision challenge can make someone feel devastated and alone. Our internet site and family support networking can help turn despair into a future of wonderful possibilities. All these activities that benefit blind and visually impaired children would not be possible without the help of vendors like you, we will continue our tradition of donating 100% of the moneys raised towards our mission. We have made a commitment to give back to the community by providing the resources and support services to help these children in the best they can be. Once again, thank you for your support.
Best Regards, |
