The
Little Rock Foundation is pleased to
announce our annual summer camp for visually impaired and blind
children. This year’s camp will take place from Monday, August 29th
through Friday,
September 2nd, 2005. The camp sessions will run from 9:00 am until
4:00 pm each day and will include a sleepover on Thursday,
September 1st.
The Camp will be held
on the beautiful grounds of the YMCA Camp Ockanickon in Medford, New
Jersey. It will host opportunities for a full camp experience including
hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, horseback riding, low ropes course,
talent show, camp
program crafts and many other camp related activities. Lunch and snack will be
provided each day as well as dinner on the evening of the sleepover and
breakfast the following morning. The camp will be fully staffed by Camp Ockanickon, The
Little Rock Foundation staff members and volunteers.
This camp is being offered
for free to all visually impaired and
blind children, ages 7 - 14, who are affiliated with a state agency for
the visually impaired or blind. Parents

Since our inception
in 1997, we have made tremendous strides in achieving
our goals to support the blind and visually impaired in the Delaware
Valley. Each year an annual event is held in November to raise funds to
